Abstract
Recently, the development of nano-satellites for space engineering education and the demonstration experiment on orbit is very active. The cost of the development of the nano-satellites is very low as against large satellites, and the period of the development is very short. However, they become debris when they reach the end of their lives, which is a threat to future spacecrafts. In this paper, a de-orbit device using a membrane deployment structure with inflatable tubes is proposed for the nano-satellite. At the end of the life, the satellite deplovs the device to increase the aerodynamic drag. which hastens the de-orbit.
