Abstract
A sensor system to measure the altitude and orientation of a small autonomous guided airplane is proposed. GPS systems are effective to measure them outside, but they cannot be used in buildings. The sensor system uses laser pointers and a CCD camera. A new algorithm robust against sensor setting error is proposed. It is verified by analysis and experiments that the altitude and orientation of the body are well measured.
