The course of machine design in Tokyo Tech High Shcool develops engineers in mechanical engineering by offering students a solid foundation in basic academic skills and education filled with adaptability and creativity. One of the subjects, we teach control and systems engineering using Programmable Logic Controller. In this subject, students learn the basis of sequence control and how to use the pneumatic system, and create an automatic machine, such as walking robots and a food machinery. This paper describes these educational practices which have focused on the teaching method of sequence control of using PLC.
