The significance of a technology integrating separate mechanical systems with one another via the Internet will increase ever more. To address such social requests, authors designed and conducted an educational experiment for learning a mechanical system utilizing the Internet for the junior in the department of modern mechanical engineering. In the experiment, after a short lecture on the Internet technology and on the structure of the networked mechanical system which authors developed for the experiment, every student designed and constructed a system for monitoring a remote place via a sensor and controlling a remote servomotor by utilizing a mobile-phone. Finally, each student made a presentation on the system. Results of questionnaire indicated that the experiment increased interests in the Internet technology for mechanical system.
