Abstract
The major part of stress analysis for a manhole cover is the numerical analysis. The experimental analysis was rarely done recently. In this research, the experimental analysis was done for the manhole cover using the three dimensional stress freezing method. The stress concentration was confirmed at the edge of the load and the edge of the cover. It has been understood that careful corresponding is necessary in the shape and size of the volume fillet surface in the safety design.
