Abstract
A designed problem for wings of the towed vehicle, which surveys the bottom of seabed in large depth, is considered. In order to survey seabed using the sonar equipped on the towed vehicle, the vehicle is required to cruse with the same depth or the same altitude from seabed and reduce a noise as much as possible. From these points of view, the variable wing, i.e. various type of wings for the vehicle can be replaced depending upon the operating speed, situation etc, is considered as one of effective methods. In this paper, to develop such towed vehicle, the effect of the angle between the body and wing, the wing form and the wing size of the towed vehicle are analyzed.
