Abstract
The Photothermal effect, which changes light into heat, can be used to generate driving force from thermal stress. By applying photothermal driving to micro-disk on central pivot, standing wave is generated on a micro-disk.. Traveling wave of mode shape No.3 is excited on a micro-disk by using two modulated laser diodes. The amplitude of traveling wave is found to increase by using four modulated laser diodes and overlapping two traveling wave.
