Abstract
In this paper, we propose biomechanical analysis system for pitching motion measurement using body mounted sensor (3D sensor). 3D sensor consists of two kinds of accelerometer and gyroscope and is attached on forearm and upper arm to measure acceleration and angular velocity during pitch. The system can estimate three-dimensional (3D) upper limb trajectory and elbow joint torque based on two link kinetics. Upper limb trajectory and elbow joint torque are estimated by numeric integration and inverse dynamics using acceleration and angular velocity. Moreover, we constructed interface software for visual evaluation of 3D trajectory and elbow joint torque. Experiment results using 2 link arm model suggest that the proposed method can estimate 3D arm trajectory and elbow joint torque.
