Abstract
In the domestic motor car, it has not been mounted the eddy current brake from lightening and performance improvement of regenerative brake, recently. But, in the high speed railway in Europe, the equipment of eddy current brake has been required. Eddy current brake generates a heat, if the utilization of a heat can be considered; the improvement in the profitability can be expected from the viewpoint of the energy consumption. Then, experimental equipment which is controllable on speed of the disk and relative distance between magnet and disk is produced. The prediction of the eddy current is examined from experiment and model calculation from the change of producing magnetic flux.
