Abstract
An algorithm for detecting the low wakefulness level with a view to the eye blinking behavior, such as the ratio regarding closing/opening time of eyelid or the variation of this eye behavior, was proposed. In this study, an algorithm for detecting low wakefulness level was evaluated in terms of the time frequency of excess alarm or false alarm. In applying the algorithm with a view to the ratio regarding closing/opening time of eyelid or the variation of this eye behavior, the total time frequency of false alarm was less than 2 % and the botheration brought by the excess alarm was extremely low was clarified.
