Abstract
In this study, using the moving finite method, the generation-phase simulation of three-dimensional dynamic fracture in a double cantilever beam specimen is carried out. Also, the theoretical and computation aspects related to the response of time varying fracture parameters such as dynamic J integral and stress intensity factor along the propagating crack front are presented. The stress singularities along the dynamically propagating crack front are evaluated. Especially the stress singularities at the corner points are investigated in relation with the shapes of the dynamically propagating crack fronts.
