Abstract
Smart structures for health monitoring is noticeable technology not only for advanced composite strucutures but also aged mechanical and civil structures. For the health monitoring, embedded fiber optic sensors are widely recognized sensors. For the practical structural health monitoring, multiple kinds of sensors are indespensable, and these sensors are not limited fiber optic sensors. The new technology for making conventional sensors distributed network is required. The present study proposes the Internet Technologies for the sensor integrations. The present paper addresses the web based structural health monitoring technology and warning through e-mail. In order to provide these new technologies, we proposes a compact Linux server with amplifiers for sensors and A/D converters. We also propose a tiny web server that can be embeddable in composite structures.
