Abstract
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is necessary for an engineer to maintain and develop his/her technical and professional ability. CPD is now at the starting point in Japan. In this presentation, the CPD activities in engineering societies are briefly introduced, and then those in JSME are explained. The major objective of the present article is to let JSME members know CPD activities and its problems in JSME.
