Abstract
Dynamics in a visualized animation, which visualizes a physical dynamic system, is extracted by the discrete wavelets. Three-dimensional wavelet transform is applied to x-, y- and time- axes of the animation. The multi-resolution analysis to the time axis makes it possible to classify animation into static and dynamic images. In this paper a visualized eddy flow animation is divided into the static and dynamic images by employing Daubechies' orthogonal wavelet basis. As a result, the core of eddy flow and the fluctuation surrounding it can be extracted in the separated static and dynamic images, respectively.
