Abstract
In the present paper, unidirectional tensile test of glass specimens were carried out. Strain rate and temperature condition were varied in the material tests. Temperature and Strain-rate dependencies on the unidirectional tensile strength of the glass specimens were investigated in detail. Approximate expression which express the temperature and strain-rate dependencies was introduced from the experimental results, and the properties of the tensile strength were discussed on the standpoint of the thermo-viscoelasticity of the glass.
