Abstract
In this paper, we study a method for three-dimensional high accurate analysis of a crack embeded in a large-scale structure. First, a 3D elasticity problem without a crack is analyzed using the EFMM and we find that its accuracy compares advantageously with the FMM, and the number of CG iterations is smaller. Next, a 3D structure with a crack is analyzed using the EFMM. The analysis results are agreed very well with the reference solution. It is concluded that the proposed method is very effective in the analysis of the crack embeded in a large-scale structure.
