Abstract
In this paper, compressive strength properties of the PBO fiber were investigated in direct compression test. Weibull analysis was performed to describe distribution of compressive strength. It was found that the compressive strength of PBO fiber was well fitted the Weibull distribution function with 2 parameters. Shape parameter and scale parameter were 8.43 and 212 MPa, respectively. Compressive strength of the PBO fiber showed a slight size effects for both length and diameter direction.
