Abstract
At present, there are several non-destructive inspection methods for defects in machineries and buildings. However, in many cases test objects needs to be contacted. This report presents a method of non-contact probing for slits imitating cracks on metallic board by using electromagnetic wave and a wide band circular polarized antenna. This method makes it possible to inspect slits from a longer distance than those in other methods, and has a beneficial effect on various lengths and directions of slits. In order to verify the availability of this method, we performed experimental measurements.
