Abstract
In the present work, tensile loading-unloading tests have been carried out using Ti-50.3at%Ni alloys heat-treated at 673K, 723K and 773K for 3.6ks under various environmental temperatures, in order to clarify effects of environmental temperature and heat treatment temperature on deformation behavior of the Ti-50.3at%Ni alloy. The critical stresses for inducing transformation increase with increasing environmental temperature. The critical stress for inducing transformation decreases with increasing heat treatment temperature at the environmental temperature of less than 395K and is not affected by the heat treatment temperature at the environment temperature of more than 395K. The critical stress for slip increases with increasing environmental temperature and with decreasing heat treatment temperature. Young's modulus is not affected by the heat treatment temperature.
