This paper discusses an effect of additional particles into resin part of a unidirectional glass fiber reinforced composite material on apparent elastic modulus and strength of the three-phase composite. At first, a tensile test of GF/GP/Resin three-phase composites toward the transverse direction is performed. In this experiment, influence of the volume fraction of particles on the apparent mechanical properties is investigated. Next, the homogenization theory-based three scale stress analysis is performed with the finite element method. The influence of the volume fraction of particles is also investigated numerically, and those are compared with each other for validation.
