Abstract

Welding simulation using an instantaneous heat source was performed using ANSYS, which is a general-purpose finite element analysis code, and deformation and residual stress of various test pieces were evaluated. As a result, the effects of the heating region, heating time during welding, number of element divisions in the thickness direction, number of time divisions, etc. on the calculation accuracy were clarified, and the optimum analysis conditions were obtained.
