Abstract
In late years, the exclusion of chlorine and PRTR regulated compounds are demanded for cutting fluid to consider environment. In addition, to prevent a fire, replacing non-soluble cutting fluid with water-soluble cutting fluid is demanded. Furthermore, for productivity improvement, extension of tool life and improvement of processing precision are demanded. In this report, we discuss the effect on cooling characteristic for tool life and processing precision for new water-soluble cutting fluids satisfying these demands.
