Abstract
In cutting using rotary cutting tool, it is expectable to become low friction since cutting fluid can be supplied near the cutting point. The machining tests of Aluminum alloy using a rotary cutting tool were carried out. As a result, when the velocity ratio is very large, the cutting force Fx and Fy is nearly zero. However, Fz is a steady value when a velocity ratio is more than 20. And the coefficient of friction μ become small as the velocity ratio is large. The coefficient of friction μinfluences the angle and the depth of a texture which were formed on the rake face. The effects of a texture differ in the lubricous state.
