Abstract
PCD is expected to apply to a wear part or a sliding part because PCD has superior mechanical properties. Therefore, high efficiency and high quality method of processing PCD is required. The authors proposed the high-speed constant-pressure grinding that is processing method to increase the grinding wheel speed with constant-pressure cutting. In this study, the grinding experiments were conducted using a vitrified bond diamond grinding wheel and metal bond diamond grinding wheel. In this report, the effects of bonding material on the grinding characteristics of PCD and including the effect of grinding heat is described.
