Abstract
The design philosophy of amoeba-type molecular robot architecture is described. An amoeba-type molecular robot consists of a giant liposome with molecular sensors, molecular actuators and a molecular controller. DNA plays an essential role as information molecules which transport information from molecular sensors to molecular actuators through a molecular controller. DNA computing is considered as programmable chemical reaction networks in the molecular controller. DNA nano-structures are used as scaffolds for molecular sensors and molecular actuators. A real-time 3D molecular interaction simulator is under development for the design of amoeba-type molecular robots.
