Abstract
In this study, we report on the high sensitive blood pressure measurement device based on arterial tonometry method with uneven sensor array for reducing a cross talk of the sensor. Our device has three pressure sensors with uneven polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surface. Since PDMS on the pressure sensors is separated and deformed locally, the cross talk of the sensor decreases. Since the PDMS has the shape of narrower towards the base, the contact area with the pressure sensor is smaller than that with the skin. Therefore, the sensitivity is increased by concentrating the load on the base of the PDMS. We fabricated uneven array sensors with five different shapes. We measured the sensitivity and the cross talk of the fabricated uneven array sensors. By using the uneven sensor array, the sensitivity is increased from 0.35 V/N to 0.37 V/N, and the cross talk is decreased from 79 % to 37 %.
