Abstract
In this study, we reported a micro gradient coil for MRI fabricated by fixing flexible coils to 3D printed jigs. The number of turns, diameter, and gap of fabricated gradient coils were 4 turns, 16 mm, and 4.5 mm, respectively. As a result of taking MRI images of cooking oil of 3.0 mm in diameter, the average diameter of measured images was 2.75 mm. Then we measured the efficiency of fabricated gradient coils. The efficiency of X, Y, and Z-axis gradient coils were 43.8, 30.7, and 30.7 G/cm/A. Since the gradient magnetic field was about 5.3 times stronger than the traditional coil, high resolution MRI image can be expected.
