Abstract

Optical detectors such as sensors and cameras have been getting smaller and higher performance year-by-year, so that, the miniaturization of high-quality lenses also required. In this study, we have fabricated microscale gradient index (GRIN) lenses with five different refractive index resins using a multi-material two-photon lithography, which is capable of fabricating complex 3D microstructures using several types of photopolymers. The performance of the fabricated GRIN lenses was evaluated both by experiments and by COMSOL Multiphysics simulation. The micro GRIN lenses can be widely used for endoscopes and micro-optical devices used in medical and industrial fields.
