Abstract
This paper presents a new direct adaptive fuzzy controller and its application for damping force control of magneto-rheological (MR) fluid based damper (MR damper in short). A model of interval type 2 fuzzy controller is established and integrated with direct adaptive control to obtain high performance in vibration control, H^∞ (H infinity) tracking technique is used in building model of direct adaptive fuzzy controller in which an enhanced iterative algorithm is combined with fuzzy model to reduce the calculating time. To verify control performance of the proposed controller, a MR damper is adopted. Results of simulation shows that the proposed control is good performance, and guarantees stability and robustness of the system.
