Abstract
In this research, in order to extend the scope of the friction stir welding, the junction experiment of pure copper was conducted. It succeeded in joining by optimization of the welding conditions such as tool rotation speed or welding speed. As a result of measuring junction temperature, value lower than fusing point of the copper chosen as material was shown, and it became clear that it is junction of a solid phase state. Furthermore, in the mechanical property, tensile strength higher than TIG welding which is a method of joining conventional copper was shown. However, the hardness of the joined portion was low. FPB treatment was performed for improvement in the reliability of junction material. The hardness test and the tension test were carried out. As a result, the mechanical property was improved by performing FPB treatment.
