Abstract

This study investigated thermoplastic resin impregnation behavior in carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP). The Aim is to clarify the relationship between the molding conditions and the resin impregnation to the fiber yarn and the effect of resin impregnation on the mechanical properties. Specimen prepared using Film Stacking (FS) method are investigated. As a result, the resin impregnation property was improved with increasing molding temperature. Resin impregnation analysis on the Darcy's law showed good agreement with the experimental values.
