Abstract
We measured the efficiency and the noise of the plastic worm gears with the module 0.5mm and the lead angle 5-8 degrees. As the result of the experiments, it was found that the application of the grease increased the efficiency more than 10 percents and the worm gear with the lead angle 8 degree provided 10 percents higher efficiency than that with the lead angle 5 degree.
