Abstract
In this paper, the influence of the natural shape in the storage of belts and the eccentricity of the pulley on the driving torque and the shaft load are experimentally discussed. The fluctuation of the driving torque is small for the belt preserved in the condition which was approximate to the round shape. The comparatively large torque loss is generated, even for a light-load flexible belt.
