Abstract
In this paper, to aim at the decrease of processing cost and the improvement of productivity, a high efficient hard hobbing (the flank finish of high hardened gears by coated finishing multi-thread carbide hob of CNC hobbing machine) is examined for the flank finish of high hardened small pitch gears. The examination is focused on the accuracy of hobbing and tool life of carbide hob. As a result, high efficient hard hobbing is found effective for the flank finish of high hardened small pitch gears.
