Abstract
The need of computer-aided work support systems is increasing for reliable work and efficient work training in small lot production of diversified products. We have proposed that machine recognition of human work is an important function for autonomous computer support system. In this paper, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification system) is considered as a device for identifying work objects, estimating work position and monitoring other information during human work. A prototype system, which has a RFID reader/writer mounted on a glove, is developed to detect the RFID tag without special operation. The result of detection test in assembling work shows that the system can be used for monitoring work sequences.
