Abstract
This paper deals with a work support system to support novice workers in production, maintenance and disassembling work. We have developed a new support system that checks operation executed by worker with interactive processes between a worker and the support system. This paper discusses the interaction process design to adapt to worker competency. A software simulator that measures the capacity of human memory and learning is used to formulate a guideline for the interaction design. Then, an experiment on the work support system in actual assembly work is conducted. The assembly experimental result showed that worker could complete whole tasks without error and learn step by step although they attempted the tasks first time.
