Abstract
Recently there is a demand in the market for compact machine centers that can handle the works flexibly, precisely and efficiently for environmental reasons. We have developed what we call "bore finisher" on which we combine boring and honing process for a cylinder block bore of automobile engine, and it can deal with different bore sizes by changing the diameter of the tools automatically. The machine enables us to bore and hone two sizes of cylinder bore diameter at full random base using environmentally friendly water solvent coolant.
