Abstract
We have proposed the hybrid timing policy in reactive scheduling based on cumulative delay, which can be capable of the rescheduling decision timing under dynamic environment. This paper extends our previous works to parallel machine scheduling with urgent jobs arrived randomly. We first explain about the proposed policy. Then we examine the effectiveness of the proposed policy through some scheduling simulations and demonstrate the proposed policy can out perform a typical event-driven rescheduling policy.
