308 Lead-time minimization in the integrated oroduction planning and scheduling environment

Abstract

This paper deals with an integrated management method of production planning and scheduling to minimize the lead-time of jobs in the constraints of meeting due-dates. This method uses backward/forward scheduling simulation to determine the release times of jobs in production planning level. Numerical experiments with consideration to processing time uncertainty are used to examine the effectiveness of the methods.
