In this day, the manufacturing system is required to become more flexible to customers’ demand. Methods for computer-aided process planning (CAPP) in machining have been developed from this point of view. Those methods deal with process planning only for one product using one machine tool. In actual manufacturing, multiple workpieces are machined in the same period using multiple machine tools, and it is necessary to generate process plans considering the efficiency of the whole manufacturing system. This paper provides an integrated method for CAPP and production scheduling in which the integrated problem is formulated as a mixed integer programming.
