Abstract
In order to obtain a good solution of flexible job-shop scheduling (FJS) problem in a reasonable time, it was proposed to merge genetic algorithm and heuristic dispatching rules and its effectiveness was shown. in the method, machine selection and job selection were performed sequentially. Because this may prevent obtaining good solutions, the authors proposed an FJS method where the two selections are performed at once. However, that method ignores workers, who are indispensable in actual manufacturing. This research aims to enhance that FJS method considering this point. The enhancement was achieved by defining a locus for not only each job, operation and machine but each worker.
