Abstract

In recent years, the development of various additive manufacturing technologies has made it possible to fabricate complex shapes and internal structures in side an object body, which has been difficult with conventional processing methods. Among them, the FFF method is the most widespread additive manufacturing method because of its ease of use and low cost. The FFF method can add large and interesting characteristics to the object. In this study, we propose a method to generate lattice paths suitable for curved surface layering by calculating and connecting the intersections between the model and the X-Z and Y-Z planes. We proposed an algorithm to generate the path, and conducted an experiment by using an example model. To confirm the generated path, we conducted an experiment by using a 6-axis vertically articulated robot.
