Abstract
The "Shitamachi Bobsleigh" project, which is established mainly by the small factories in the Ota distinct of Tokyo, is making domestically-build high performance bobsleigh to win a medal at 2014 Winter Olympic Games. The optimization aerodynamic shape design which is combined with computational fluid dynamics, played a part in the development of this bobsleigh. In this article, we present the design approach and the optimization results for creating an aerodynamically high performance bobsleigh model.
