Abstract
A new gamma type circulating flow Stirling engine (CFSE) with new design lead valves of thin metallic leaves, counter flow heat exchangers and elliptic gear drive of displacer piston is proposed for applications of miscellaneous waist heat recovering over 200 deg-C, as a low temperature differential Stirling engine (LTDSE). In present CFSE design, four kinds of new devices are equipped, 1) thin disk shape lead valves with smallest dead volume, 2) annular type U-shaped tubes and shell counter flow heat exchangers for heater, cooler and regenerator, 3) annular shape displacer piston around the power piston, and 4) displacer driven by elliptic gear to increase the indicated power. An example design of two cylinders CFSE is proposed and its performance of low temperature difference operation is estimated.
