Abstract
In a small scale LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) satellite station, LNG is vaporized with a vaporizer, and its cold energy is not effective used. In order to develop of the energy omission equipment for the LNG satellite station, we have discussed to apply a cryogenic Stirling engine generator. As one of the previous test for the application, a 500 W class Stirling engine is operated with liquid nitrogen in our laboratory. In the previous test, we get a lot of knowledge, such as the difficulty of a supply method of cold energy into the engine, performance of heat exchangers, and fundamental engine performance.
