Abstract

The design based accident protection system for nuclear power plant(hereinafter referred to as DBAS) has been Regulatory required to be designed against all of the assumed external events of safety analysis each external events. Each DBAS has advantage for robustness due to its structure, operating principle, location. Therefor, DBAS which are fulfilled the requirement against several external condition may have the following problems. ①Cliff edge effect ②Lack of the economic rationality In this paper, a multiplex of DBAS with different robustness against each external event improve the safety of the NPP, and broaden the choices of DBAS in safety measures of NPP.
