There is a possibility that the electrolysis of methanol can be a efficient hydrogen production methode due to a very low theoretical electrolysis voltage of methanol. This paper describes the investigation on the hydrogen production in an electrolyzer cell employing a newly developed flow fields made with sintered metal fiber. The sintered metal fiber flow field can supply reactants whole area of electrode. Results show that the flow field has higher performance than conventioned metal wire structure flow field and the performance tends to increase by reducing the porosity of sintered metal fiber.
