Abstract
In this paper, velocity distributions in the far wake to X/C=13.5 from the trailing edge of an NACA0012 airfoil flows are measured by using the hot-wire anemometer in wind tunnnel test. The Reynolds number based on the chord length of the airfoil and flow velocity is 4.0×105 and the airfoil is under the high lift condition. Then, turbulence length scale as maximum scale of wake vorttex are calculated from the results by cross-correlation measurement of 2 points local flow velocities at X/C=13.0. Then, the characteristics of expansion of half width, velocity profiles in the far wake and turbulence length scales in X-direction and in Y-direction at X/C=13.0 are clarified.
