Abstract
From the viewpoint of effective use in the incinerators of solid waste fuels produced from domestic and industrial fields, it is very important to elucidate the combustion behavior of solid waste fuels in high temperature environments. Experiments have been conducted to obtain some basic combustion data such as ignition delay, time duration of flaming and smoldering, and mass burning rate of solid waste fuels under microgravity. Microgravity makes it possible to examine these properties of combustion phenomena by realizing spherical symmetry and distinguishing radiation process
