Abstract
Experiments were conducted to clarify the effects of ultrasonic vibration on heat transfer characteristics in generator that was component of absorption chilling machine. Pool boiling curves were obtained using distilled water and 50% LiBr/H_2O as test liquid. Ultrasonic vibration was applied to test liquid and test heater from a transducer that was attached under the bottom of generator. The power input to the transducer ranged from 0 to 35W at 24kHz. Discussions were presented on heat transfer enhancement and boiling phenomena of LiBr/H_2O at reduced pressure conditions.
